2009's Best New Tools Winner's List

The 2009 newsletter featured a piece about the Best New Tools of the Year. The list was of the runners-up , seven tools in all , not the actual winning tools of the year. That list is included in our December 2009 issue (#180) and yes, we hope you order a copy of the magazine (this is a business, you know).

We found lots of great projects, information, and reviews in the issue.

In the list, youll find more than the top 10 tools. We went the extra mile to identify 12 standout tools that you’ll have space in your shop. Get a closer look at a slick new wagon vise that works as good as it it looks; a mallet thats so eye-catching youll be tempted to set it on a shelf to simply look at (but its too great a tool not to use every day! A block plane that looks like a race car with sleek lines.

This list covers all types of saws. For power-tool users, read about the new table saws, band saws and mitersaws. And if great-looking hand-tools tend to elevate your blood pressure, get more information on a couple dovetail saws that might necessitate an increase in medication. A joint maker for mitered stick, an impact driver that lets you select the settings, and sticky tape with a higher use are not to be overlooked.
